The recently revised EN1398 standard introduces stricter requirements on side guards, electrical control logic, emergency-stop response time and structural fatigue testing for stationary and mobile dock levelers in the European Union.

Manufacturers exporting to the EU are expected to re-verify their existing models, update technical files and, in some cases, retrofit safety components.

OUSHENG completed an internal review of the new standard in February 2026 and confirmed that the current OS-D and OS-M stationary dock leveler series already meet the upgraded requirements, ensuring uninterrupted supply for European customers.
